DetailsIndia is a storehouse of rich heritage. The architectural sites, scientific research, literary observations, spiritual traditions, cultural practices, and much more, are propounded by visionary Indian seers. India's unique and enriched heritage has always attracted seekers of ancient Indian wisdom. By chronology marker, we mean dating of events using internal references to astronomical calendars traditionally provided with the texts of India, both ancient and modern by cross-verification. The Project This project aims to formulate a chronological context of ancient Indian knowledge and verify it with traditional assumptions. Starting with the oldest literature we have, i.e., Vedas, Epics, and Puranic literature, the comparative analysis of the texts is part of this comprehensive study. This project's approach may sometimes lead to interdisciplinary studies such as Ayurveda, Astronomy, History, Geology, etc. For example – if we want to know the origin, development, and modification of "Dev-Pitru-Uttara-DakshinAyan", we need to explore all relevant aspects like astronomical, social, and astrological information. This vast study includes various observations on seasons, lokas, time cycles, constellations, planetary movements, months, polestar, etc. Taking up this project is relevant in the modern era, as it allows us to explore centuries-old available texts.
